June Meeting -- Night of Baseball when the Indianapolis Indians
host the Pawtucket Red Sox (AAA farm team for the Boston Red Sox)

Meeting Notes from the May Meeting -- Annual Meeting and Dinner
Our Annual Meeting and Election of Officers was
the principal item on the agenda for May. The meeting was held on May 16,
at the Milano Inn located on the near south side of Indianapolis.
Before the meeting members were able to partake in a wonderful family
style dinner then the Indianapolis Section began our business meeting and held
elections for officers to serve during the up-coming year. Officers elected
were as follows.

Other officers were pleased to continue in their current offices and to help build the Section. But, there is always room for new officers and all are encouraged to contact the new Chairman, or any of the other officers, to become active in Section activities.

Design performance aspects of the Allison Two-Mode Hybrid Propulsion Transmission System scheduled to be incorporated in the 2008 GM, Chrysler, and BMW SUV and pickup truck vehicles.
Special museum tour of Fiori de Bambini: A Chihuly Garden of Glass for Children after the meeting
Monday, June 12 – Children Museum’s MAP Project – Patricia Daily & Students
The Museum Apprentice Program (MAP) at the Children’s Museum is intended to give interested students (12-18) an opportunity to learn about museum activities. The Science Section of MAP, sponsored by the D. J. Angus Foundation, has about 25 participants, several of whom will describe the work they did last summer as well as upcoming projects for this summer.
Meetings are held at the Children's Museum, 3000 N. Illinois St, Indianapolis; use the north entrance under the Infozone sign. Reservations are not necessary, but call Dr. Alan Schmidt, 317 233-5190, to check on any changes or for further information. www.scientechclub.org
