From the Chairman …
On May 18, members of the local section attended the Indianapolis Indians baseball game versus the Syracuse Chiefs at Victory Field in downtown Indianapolis. It was an exciting game from start to finish. The leadoff batter for the Chiefs hit a towering home run on the first pitch of the game, and the game ended when a pitch hitter for the Indians stuck out with the bases loaded. Syracuse won the game 4-2.
Our final event of the year will be a dinner meeting at the Old Spaghetti Factory restaurant located at 210 South Meridian Street in downtown Indianapolis on Tuesday, June 16 at 5:30 p.m. We will review the past year’s activities and discuss preliminary plans for next year. To encourage participation, the local section will pay for dinner. Please consider attending the meeting, and also consider volunteering to be an officer next year.
If you have any questions, or if you have suggestions for guest speakers or plant tours for future meetings, please contact me via e-mail at mike.wertz at heritage-enviro.com or by phone at (317) 486-2778.
