ICES All Engineering
Banquet
Friday, October 17
All-
When we started planning the networking event over a year ago, the goal was very simple – bring everyone together for a relaxed evening with an interesting technical program and support the ICES core mission of furthering education. IEEE has received an offer to host the event from the Radisson, Indianapolis Airport on October 17th with a social hour beginning at 5:30pm and the dinner program starting at 7:00pm. Programming for the event will not change.
ASME and IEEE’s executive committees are in the process of notifying our speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors about the venue change and reduced expected attendance. We do not anticipate anyone “bailing out,” but want to reconfirm all speakers and programming prior to signing the contract with the Radisson. New announcements are also in the works and will be available shortly.
This site also features free parking and is more convenient to I-465 and I-70 than a downtown location. Lastly, the reduced financial risk will allow for significantly better scholarship funding.
Going forward we ask that everyone takes 15 minutes to spread the word to others in your organization and share this event with at least one corporate contact outside your organizations. There are still plenty of opportunities to place exhibits, sponsor tables, and otherwise be involved. To support these efforts, the early registration and member-discounts have been extended through September 30th.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions.
I look forward to seeing everyone in October,
--Dan Gallagher—
